VINYL FENCE

Vinyl fencing has exceptional impact strength, durability, and weatherability. Vinyl is an easy-care alternative to other fence materials. It will outlast its wooden counterpart by many years, or even decades. A perfectly maintained, top-quality wooden fence will last around 14 years, while a vinyl one will last 20–30 years.

IRON FENCE

A wrought-iron fence is comprised of vertical and horizontal members. Vertical members, also known as spires, are the vertical components of the fence. They are usually spaced about six inches apart and are often topped with ornamental pieces called finials. Scrolls are another form of spire decoration. While there are no guarantees that the average wrought iron fence will last centuries, a well-maintained wrought iron fence could last a lifetime.

WOOD FENCE

A wood fence has a classic look that has stood the test of time. Wood fences can come in privacy, picket, or rail styles. Most often, rot-resistant cedar is used, although redwood, pine, and hem/fir are also available. Wood fences can be treated with a stain or left to turn a natural shade. From what we've seen during our last 13 years of business, a typical pressure-treated wooden fence's lifespan is about 15–20 years. Around the 15-year mark, most homeowners report seeing noticeable aesthetic declines like rotting and splitting.

CHAIN LINK FENCE

A chain link fence, also known as a cyclone, hurricane, or mesh fence, is a woven type of fencing that is created by weaving coated, interlocking steel wires together. The wires are bent in a zig-zag fashion that is designed to give a vertical diamond pattern. On average, you can expect your chain-link fence to last about 15 years. Compare that to about 15 to 20 years for wood, 20 to 30 years for vinyl, upwards of 50 for aluminum, and centuries for wrought iron.
